Re: Hello Elektra

Sounds interesting but from a developer's point of view, which I am not. I express myself only because I have a question. I see that you need `sudo` to mount the configuration files. How would this integrate with a user-space configuration?

Re: Part Design, Crash in recent 0.19 (2020-05-25)

Yes, this is the correct file. What I wanted to do is actually modify something earlier in the tree. For this purpose, I changed the tip. I didn't want to delete the fillets because I wanted to record the radius values. Then I realized that the fillets don't make sense anymore so wanted to delete th...

Part Design, Crash in recent 0.19 (2020-05-25)

I discovered a crash. - Open the attached file crash.fcstd . - Load the Part Design Workbench - Select Fillet002 in the tree - Press the Delete key --> Crash! Note that there is no crash when you delete Fillet002 with the "Edit/Delete" menu. Gaël OS: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS (i3/i3) Word size of OS: 64-bi...

Re: Scanning OutList of App::Part.

Maybe this: def get_all_subobjects(o): """Recursively get all subobjects Subobjects of objects having a Shape attribute are not included otherwise each single feature of the object would be copied. The result is that bodies, compounds, and the result of boolean operations will be converted into a si...

Place for parameters for macros

Some macros start to use parameters to save some information. My question is where should these parameters be? Candidates for macro 'MyMacro': - 'User parameter:BaseApp/Preferences/Mod/MyMacro' - 'User parameter:BaseApp/Preferences/Mod/Macros/MyMacro' - 'User parameter:BaseApp/Preferences/Macros/MyM...

NASA RASSOR Challenge

I guess that most of you are stuck at home so this may be a good opportunity to earn money or just spend the spare time while staying at home (for those that do not heavily code for FreeCAD). The NASA has just launched a prized CAD-design challenge: NASA Regolith Advanced Surface Systems Operations ...

Re: [Macro] Get an ASCII representation of the model tree

I was just thinking about the macro name. What about "TreeToText" rather than "Tree2Ascii". I find "To" nicer than "2" within text and "Text" because this can be Unicode-Art rather than Ascii-Art.
