Re: [FR] macro to remap sketch to different reference

SketcherUnmap or SketcherRemap doesn't matter much but it's better to begin with Sketcher.

For the wiki, it would be enough to copy your first topic there.

I didn't know about the Sketch MapSketch macro. Would it actually be possible to fuse both macros into one?

Re: Face.Orientation wrong on some imported steps

Are you sure that the orientation is not inverted in the STEP file itself? Do you have a example of file producing the incorrect orientation?

Re: [FR] macro to remap sketch to different reference

I'm a bit late on the fight, but as I promised, below is my proposal of macro (attached to this post). Thanks for sharing this code. This is surely useful until the topological naming is solved. Could you please propose it to https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-macros/. I would suggest to change the...

Re: Translating external workbenches

Ok, I tried again to adapt this to macros but unsuccessfully despite the fact that I think I have everything what is needed (actually even more because I also compiled a resource file). My current effort is attached DxfToSketchLayers.zip . To test it, unpack it in FreeCAD's macro folder and launch F...

Re: Translating external workbenches

Hi Yorik, thanks for this wiki page! I'll study it and try to adapt it to macros. Something surprised me though: "Text that is only shown in the Python console should not be translated". If such text should really not be translated, all mentions of "FreeCAD.Console" should also be remove from this w...

Re: Starting and controlling FreeCAD from external console

Nice! Glad you solved your problem. If your workbench is something general, could you consider sharing it and documenting its use?

Thanks,

Re: [Macro] Straighten objects

Hi easy-fc and openBrain, do you think that it's still worth adding openBrain's macro to the official repository?

Re: Starting and controlling FreeCAD from external console

Ahoj, you can either directly start FreeCAD (with GUI), IIRC with `FreeCAD macro_name.FCMacro` and use the full featured embedded Python console or use the FreeCAD kernel for Jupyter (https://github.com/looooo/jupyter_freecad_kernel) for a more pleasant interaction with Python. For Matlab it can be ...
