Re: A Tip on how to view data during development

Thanks for the explanation but I'm still missing something: the properties do not update.

Re: A Tip on how to view data during development

Thanks for the tip. Can you explain how you set the property? Do you use the expression engine? I tried but neither getcamera() nor eval are valid expressions for the expression engine.

Thanks,
Gaël

Re: PR#2862: Configuration Table using Spreadsheet

Thanks for the reply. I got it now. you linked to the body, but mark the Pad.Length as CopyOnCange? The CopyOnChange property only works in the linked object, not any of its sub-objects. This is the first thing I was doing wrong. I was indeed setting "Pad.Length" as "CopyOnChange"...

Re: PR#2862: Configuration Table using Spreadsheet

Thanks realthunder for this nice feature. I didn't manage to have it work though. I'm attaching a sample where I think I did everything as you wrote but changing the property marked "CopyOnChange" (Pad.Length) still modifies the original object. copy_on_change.fcstd I'm using the AppImage ...

Re: URDF Workbench, robotics

Hi, Is anyone still working on the robotics package for freecad? Please connect with me if yes. I am very interested in this and I want to know if anyone would be interested as well or are already working on it. Thank you!. I'm intersted in a ROS workbench for FreeCAD and even started studying how ...

It looks that the issue is already solved but anyway the GetGlobalPlacement macro may also provide you with some answers.

Re: Call for Participation: Modeling Challenge

Sorry, out-of-topic. I personally like the name PropertyBag as it expresses well what it does. I think that it is a great feature that deserves more publicity. I think that it should be part of the core of FreeCAD. sliptronic, do you think this is a good idea? Can it be easily separated from the Pat...

No I'm talking about PartDesign/Split (only available in realthunder's fork I think).

Re: PR #4074 The section cut feature

realthunder's branch includes a split function that does exactly that, a permanent cut. The cutting element does not even need to be planar. You can select to activate one side of the split or the other.

Re: Missing module `pyside2uic`

Thanks for the quick reply but neither pyqt5-dev nor pyqt5-dev-tools provide the Python module pyside2uic.
