Re: FEM on Mac OSX

Glad to hear you got it working, frabice! I admit I've kinda been putting off looking into the FEM stuff on OS X, partly because I know nothing about it. I will try writing a Homebrew formula for CalculiX when I get the chance. frabice, have you gotten Netgen to work on OS X? Last time I tried, I t...

Re: FEM on Mac OSX

It runs on Mac OSX 10.9.5. I can provide the binary if needed. I don't know if that needs to be in a package or something like that, but if not, my binary is available for testing.

Re: FEM on Mac OSX

How do I display them? Edit: I found out. The mesh needs to be displayed (which makes sense...) I no...

Re: FEM on Mac OSX

There are no such files in these directories (I did a find -iname *linux* and a find -iname *x64* in each directory).

The only thing looking like this is a libarpack_mac.a which would probably be a libarpack_sun4.a if I let the original parameters in ARmake.inc from Arpack.

Re: FEM on Mac OSX

It did go a bit further and manage to build biosav.c but I have another error afterwards: cc -Wall -O3 -pthread -I ../../../SPOOLES.2.2 -DARCH="Linux" -DSPOOLES -DARPACK -DMATRIXSTORAGE -DUSE_MT -c u_free.c u_free.c:44:3: error: non-void function 'u_free' should return a value [-Wreturn-type] return...

Re: FEM on Mac OSX

The build of ccx fails, step 7.1.3 from the manual. This is the error I have: usr/local/bin/g++ -Wall -O3 -pthread -I ../../../SPOOLES.2.2 -DARCH="Linux" -DSPOOLES -DARPACK -DMATRIXSTORAGE -DUSE_MT -c biosav.c biosav.c: In function ‘void biosav(int*, int*, char*, int*, double*, double*, double*, int...

That is what I was going to do, thank you for you answer!

Yes I tried but I have error at builing. There seems to be some problems with pthread functions in the code... which doesn't seem so probable!
