Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!

At this moment, but when we get nice renders with ease it will be awesome!
I am trying to start working in linux. It's not really easy so it's gonna take me some time!

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!

I was just doing the same, but adding it as a parameter in the project... So, from now, there is a 'Ground Plane Size Factor' parameter in the project, you can set the value you want (default is 1, but any float value is allowed). Yeah I saw you setting it up for me even before I knew I needed it! ...

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!

But what is the point of a ground plane if it is not covering the ground, then it is just a plane in the air! The simplicity is perfect as it is, but the margin just needs to be 100 times bigger! Edit: Hacked the python files from the git page :) 2021-03-25 22_02_49-I’m something of a programmer mys...

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!

I have cycles working on windows! 2021-03-25 17_32_12-Cycles_ CyclesProjectpwgq38q0.xml.png It looks good, at least it looks the best of all the renders! But it needs a lot of tweaking. But the basis is there. First thing I really would like to change is the ground plane, it should be infinite or it...

Re: How to get wiki editing permissions

Yo, I am trying to get the Render workbench workable for noobs like me, so thought write down how to do this so we all can make fancy renders in the future! I know the render workbench supports a lot of render engines, but the I will probably focus on Cycles. Like the shade option in Link3 stage loo...

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!

I checked your file and I had an issue with the correct location of the Povray template. After I fixed that it worked for me, i got a blue cube. I guess you use portable version, but I got the same error when this was broken. I also had run the Povray installer but I forgot that I already had setup ...

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!

Sure where should I make a wiki page in the freecad wiki that you can review when done?

Re: [Render workbench} Getting it to work on Windows!

I didn't add the cube and the light with the view function. I just added the camera, because I thought the camera is the view.
Maybe change the name "Rendering View" to "Scene Objects".
Or I have to read better ;)
