I was looking at your index.html and I see that you use jquery, I think it's better that you go to a framework like vuejs. See https://vuejs.org/

Re: FreeCAD in web browser project. Its not Onshape! And its working.

Is that some thing you might be willing to help with? At the moment I'm busy with other things in my life, but I'd love to be able ...

Re: FreeCAD packaged for web similar to onshape

On the other hand some time ago I have been playing with 3D engines like babylonjs that drew directly the freecad objects in the browser without using VNC. What the freecad server actually did was to rebuild the model into a mesh object to send to babylonjs every time it changed. It's a lot of work ...

Hi, are you planning to release your work as free or open source software?

Thanks

Re: FreeCAD packaged for web similar to onshape

It's really very interesting. I hope you can keep hacking the web interface.
Later on I would like to be able to install this on a server of my own.

Greetings

Re: FreeCAD packaged for web similar to onshape

Ok. The following link is a zip file for the package I have been working on. Please note. This is a very early snapshot of a dev environment not intended to really be used but just an example to show the possibilities. I do not have all of the GUI commands linked to the right icons yet. That will J...

Re: FreeCAD packaged for web similar to onshape

Hi, this sounds very interesting. How can I try this? Can I try it online or do I have to download and install it on my computer?

If I have to download it, I would like to know the installation instructions.

Thanks :)

Smart restrictions in Sketcher

Hello, in several commercial programs there is a kind of smart restriction. For example, I want to draw a rectangle centered on the axes, I draw it from the center for both sides and the symmetry constraint is automatic. I don't have to restrict by symmetry by pressing the symmetry command. Then I w...

Grid of the sketch does not fit the size of the drawing

Hi, when I draw in a sketch the grid does not automatically fit the size of the drawing, but if I select the whole drawing the grid covers the whole drawing. Maybe you can help me. Greetings OS: Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) (GNOME/default) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version...
