Re: Touch screen hardware for FreeCAD

Pleas post the full info. In Qt4, touchscreen support is poor. I had hacked it a bit to make it work on windows, but the hack is windows-only. With Qt5, the support is there, but I still haven't got hold of a build system. FC's Gesture is not really usable with Qt5, because of this (there are shows...

Re: Touch screen hardware for FreeCAD

When doing freecad, I use the device with keyboard and mouse. I have no idea how one can handle freecad just with touch screen. I thought _you_ would know :D haha What brings me to a further major downer of the z20t: is has no middle mouse button :( . Oh. and yes. I installed debian myself . Runs ou...

Re: Touch screen hardware for FreeCAD

I run freecad on a toshiba z20t-c 11c . It has a m7 processor. I run debian stretch with gnome on it. freecad 0.17 runs perfectly smooth so far. but havn't tested bigger models yet. As m7 is said to be just slightly better than m5, i guess u are good to go (debending on your model size). https://ima...

Re: Whiteboard for v0.18

So he doesn't have to choose between CAD-movement, touch-movement or else, but can define his own style. Maybe even include multitouch screens (zoom in...

Re: Off topic - 3d printers

Hi Brutha, looks like we are looking for the same thing. I also would like to buy a "cheap" open source 3d printer. I have not got any final thoughts or decision but here are my notes so far: sls-printers (best but expensive) yousls open source http://you-sls.com/news/ very early stage sin...
