Re: Ticket #4575 - [Solved with workaround] Window/Door holes incorrect - again
Apologies, I finished the project, Self Build, I had on FreeCAD, and have not really looked at it since. Unfortunately, I do not have time to build from a PR at the moment. When I've finished the build I'll probably dabble with FreeCAD again.

Re: Dimensions to TechDraw
In the example I am using a Draft_Rectangle . In your situation you can use the Draft_Shape2DView object in the group you want to display. The explanation assumes that a TechDraw page has already been created ( TechDraw_PageDefault ). Thank you ever so much for the clear instructions. It has worked...

Re: Dimensions to TechDraw
You cannot create a TechDraw_DraftView from a Std_Group . The workaround is to first create the view from a 'dummy' draft object and then change the Source property of the view and select the group. Note that this problem still exists in V0.20. Didn't see this while posting. Thanks for this Roy_043...

Re: Dimensions to TechDraw
Please retry with current 0.20. You can select multiple Draft objects and insert them with "Insert Draft workbench object". Okay appimage was easy. Now using OS: Debian GNU/Linux bullseye/sid (XFCE/xfce) Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.20.27861 (Git) AppImage Build type: Release B...

Please retry with current 0.20. You can select multiple Draft objects and insert them with "Insert Draft workbench object". Okay that will take a bit of time, I'll probably have to build from source, or try the appimage Don't insert the dimensions as a projection group, that works for 3D ...

Re: House Walls using Sketches
When in TechDraw, on the page you want to export, there is a button that does the export, grouped with the DXF export button. The DXF button has the letters DXF, the svg one seems to be 3 boxes. It exports what is visible at the time.
I assume there are other ways to do the export

Re: Generating documents for building plan submittal - Export problems
What you've done looks pretty great, and is pretty much the same use case. It's really frustrating to have it in FreeCad looking so, so right, and then have to export it to Inkscape. If what you've done is the best way to do it, araaaaaaaagh! Ha. Lemme see what I can do here that's similar. I feel ...

Re: Generating documents for building plan submittal - Export problems
I agree that the TechDrawing output is useable but not brilliant, however, it does give the option for svg export which can then be tidied up in programs like Inkscape. Not ideal, but it is what I ended up doing. That said I was using 3d models. I've written about it here House Walls using Sketches ...

Re: House Walls using Sketches
I had no chance of finding that, too many terms that I do not fully understand to have had a chance at a proper internet search. However, now you have pointed me at it I might have a play.
Maybe better to give up on FreeCAD and just use Blender
