Re: Experienced FreeCAD developers needed

I removed your email address, don't post email addresses in plain text, spammers are enough of a pain, I am actually quite offended when moderators wipe out my personal details, thinking they help me fight spam or something. It has happened to me (not here). I feel I am the one to decide what I'm a...

Is it possible to create Shape2Dview without inner lines?
Use Part Slice to split a plane into pieces. Then compoundfilter to extract the outermost face. The inner wire of that face is what you need. It can be extracted by exploding the face.

Re: Burst Pressure of a thick-walled Sphere

It's always nice to see people check fem for validity. Mistakes there can be difficult to spot, yet very costly if the thing you calculated and made fails.

Re: Remove material above complex body

seems similar: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17054&start=10 I'd say, the general thing we need is an ability to extrude a solid. I'm afraid, we still don't have a usable solution for this problem. I'm pretty sure that the code that computes projections for drawings and shape2dview...

Re: Spherical arrays

Here. 1. Export two shapes from your project. One of the full object, solid, and another that defines the volume where to change print settings. 2. Import main shape into Slic3r. 3. double-click the shape in object list, -> settings dialog pops up 4. There, click "load modifier". Load the other shap...

Re: Spherical arrays

I would like to have the cylinders / holes perpendicular to the curved surface. Is there a function that will help me achieving this? IMO, you are over-engineering it. No practical benefits, but tons of trouble. It can be achieved with Lattice2 add-on workbench. I'm glad to invite you to learn it, ...

if you call fp.recompute() instead of self.execute(..), and execute raises an error, you should get an error mark in model tree. i think...

My vision for the new assembly concept (I'll call it A10) is to make it a passive assembler, it works on rules only. It will scan thru the parts and look at data in the datum docks.
Sounds familiar, https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=32843
