Re: Finding a solution for the 'version.h' issue

For Debian, we're not allowed to call out to the internet, but for the PPA daily builds, it should be possible to just use curl or wget to get the information we need, and then put it in place with a shell script. The PPA uses Launchpad so I think no internet either. We can create the version and p...

Sounds reasonable to me. I'll see if I can figure out how to do it.
Unfortunately we have published the 0.18.3 tag, so this will be part of 0.18.4.

Re: Back port commits to 0.18 branch

Yes, this would be nice addition. From which channel do I get the 0.18.3 build? Yes, moving 0.18.3 to qt5.9 looks quite obvious to me. But as said I need come help from @triplus as I have no idea about the upload-scripts. When I am successful with Win I will look at this, I need to understand for W...

Yes, it also annoys me to always copy these files manually when making a complete fresh build. I have this on my to-do list.
In your normal workflow do you create separate release and debug build directories or do you commingle them? If the later how do you manage the .pdb files?

Re: Back port commits to 0.18 branch

Thanks, I updated the 0.18 package which is available from conda-forge. Now the question is if we should go with the old (qt5.6) deps or if we should switch to new (qt5.9) deps. On osx qt5.9 is working better. For win I still have problems with self compiled QT5.9 (because of the boost 1.7) so I us...

I just tried the version you sent me and sadly I have to report it exhibits the bug.
This is great :) On Win QT 5.6 is bad, QT 5.12 is good.
My graphics is ATI R7 integrated on AMD "Kaveri" chip.
Can you post the driver version?
Thanks

My language is "Traditional Chinese."
Maybe we should try to have @111 post in the Chinese forum, in native language, and we use the translations (Google Translate or something else)
I think something is being lost in the "translation"

so thought I'd better report it ! Thanks! Your doing it how we prefer it. FreeCAD has a lot of dedicated users/testers to help to triage these bugs, so thanks for doing it here.
