P.S. And thanks for all the hard work you invest in packaging.

travis.yml

Trying to understand how we use Travis. https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/blob ... travis.yml

Anybody know what .travis.yml#L140 and .travis.yml#L275 do, and are they related?

Re: Discussion: removing Ply from FreeCAD's source code

For the Win builds 0.19.19300, ply is added to the site-packages in the bundle. I have manually removed the */Mod/OpenSCAD/ply. Testing results welcome. Updated the Win Libpack and added a note to the releases page https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/0.19_pre Tomorrow I will try to updat...

Re: Discussion: removing Ply from FreeCAD's source code

The dependency list isn't growing, it was already as big. It's just now more organized. I little of both maybe. Anyway if we don't need to maintain 3rd party code in FreeCAD that is good. As far as I can tell, ply is only used here: importCSG.py#L45 for .csg file support. I also see in the Mesh and...

Re: Travis build failure

Ah, thanks for the information. What should the "rule" be? I see three cases; FreeCADcmd, no gui,I think the test should fail as it did. FreeCAD -c, console mode, but the gui stuff has been built, I think the test should pass here, I think this is how Travis is set up, less the "packaging" issue. F...

Re: Switching between workbenches using Part

For instance, in PartDesign we have a gear option. But it can generate only involute gear. Wouldn't be better to remove the feature, and use a separate WB? Great question, I think it would make a great topic in open discussion. If your interested search the forum for the ship and plot wb's. I'm jus...

Re: cursor changing from arrow to miniature hand-why?

Your version is strange. It is version 0.18.4, but it indicates 0.18.14555 (Git shallow)? Version 0.18.4 should be something like 0.18.16800. The version info indicates that the build was built from the 0.18.4 git tag and that the repo was cloned with git shallow, so no git history, therefore the v...

Re: Travis build failure

Is it maybe possible that something on the travis environment is wrong? For windows on Travis we don't set up the QT directory stuff. We run FreeCAD from the build/bin directory, but just copy the libpack/bin here. So ie qwindows.dll won't be found. We have CMake switches to do this, we just don't ...
