Maybe a glitch in the packaging... Yup, should be fixed in 0.19.18719 Thanks oB, I appreciate your time. FYI, only one version should be necessary. The LP_12.1.2 version uses the so called Libpack for FreeCAD's dependencies and is rather "static" The Conda version uses conda-forge for the dependenc...

The PR's for freecad came faster than expected... :D Btw.: this will not yet affect the 0.19_pre packages which are used for dmg/appimage. Only the more official package from conda-forge will be build with py3.8 + py3.7. So we are able to do some testing before updating the 0.19_pre-feedstock. How ...

Can we pin this, maybe with a banner, like in the help forum, but on the main forum page. IMPORTANT: PY2 is reaching EOL, or some such?
I'm sure FreeCAD will support py2 when possible, but some disto's are already removing py2, at least as the default.

I guess it's best to look at the other examples.
The conda-forge model seems to be the simplest. I like the Ipython the best.
I'd suggest using the conda-forge model and see where that takes us.
