found these two links ...
It seems the first post is out of date. I hadn't tried this lately. I'll try to get it working and add to the wiki. Probably just need to pin the version of some package(s)

Re: add a missing Python module to the windows lib pack release

I found the above by trail and error not because I new what I was doing. Thus the question if this was done correct? Hey bernd, This will usually work. I usually place the folder in FreeCAD_0.19.xxxxx_Py3Qt5\bin\Lib\site-packages, but anywhere in FreeCAD's syspath should work. Since the move to PY3...

Re: Conda(Docker)/AppImage Failure

another idea is to update netgen 6.2.2006 and build it with the latest occt/vtk and use git to pull sources as this will set the version (hopefully) in a correct way. Somehow I think the issue with 6.2.2007 is related to netgen changes. So it would be nice to see what is wrong, but if we manage to ...

Re: Conda(Docker)/AppImage Failure

I have vs2017 still installed, so maybe it's easier if I do the testing. But I am not quite sure how to use the dependency-walker. I should be able to install vs2017 on the weekend. I'd really like to learn how to do this. Dependency-Walker seems to have died. They don't claim compatibility for Win...

Re: Conda(Docker)/AppImage Failure

I have conda-build installed in the base environment. Running conda debug from this base-env should create all the necessary environments. So no need to create the environments manually. Thanks. I get some progress but I need VS2017 and I only have VS2019 installed locally. I will try installing VS...

Re: Coding style for C++

I'm just a packager. To me it seems we should maximize the tools for our precious developers. For me the most important point is readability. Nothing is more tedious and tiring to review unreadable code because of poor formatting. This does not only considerably reduce maintainability but also incre...

Re: Conda(Docker)/AppImage Failure

testing locally I don't see a dependency issue. So maybe this issue is already resolved. No joy. Same issue, the errors are slightly different. I think it's more of a Docker problem than a Conda problem. I'll keep digging. I'm still not sure I'm interpreting the log correctly. https://dev.azure.com...

Re: Conda(Docker)/AppImage Failure

In the end it's about getting all conda packages updated. There is a lot of work waiting again (vtk9, hdf5, new calculux, netgen, smesh...) Maybe you could assign me a task, the easier the better given my (lack of) skill level. As you mentioned in another thread decoupling vtk-occt seems a good idea.

Conda(Docker)/AppImage Failure

Hello all FreeCADers I am having trouble getting FreeCAD to build Linux on Conda using @looooo's feed-stock https://github.com/looooo/freecad-feedstock The failing part of the Azure pipeline is here: https://dev.azure.com/sppedflyer/feedstock-builds/_build/results?buildId=200&view=logs&j=d0d954b5-f1...

Re: Again about portability: Portable FreeCAD/ paf.exe

The .bat file is the way to go. The .cfg files are XML so any text editor will do. When using Edit > Preferences ... Any Paths are hard coded, like Path to OpenSCAD.exe I think relative Paths will work, don't know if they get re-written at restart. I don't know 2Wayne's work, I assume FreeCADPortabl...
