I have also looking at using Eclipse editor. Is this the best way to go to edit directly to the local repository (if that is how it is recommended)?
Setting up an external editor might be more difficult on Win, but it depends on what you want to do.

What exactly are your goals?

First PR to cleanup/consolidate: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/2625
Not tested. Will this cause the user to have to reset their prefs?

Re: Make a FreeCAD high school version

My goals on this site have always been driven by using FreeCAD but also observing the progress and targeting a time when the program is mature enough to get into the school system. My favorite class in high school was drafting and I couldn't wait for the chance to visualize something in 3D and draw...

preferences such as Stylesheet are correct but others such as the Start Wb aren't open as expected.
I changed my settings to match yours. I get the same behavior in the libpack and conda version.
What exactly isn't working?

And TIA for the continued support.

Re: Feature request: "Engineer UX Mode"

The idea is to be able to share .cfg files and have FC prompt user to download whatever Addons/Workbenches are missing. How to handle the hard-coded paths to executables would need to be addressed somehow. openscad.exe and cxx.exe come to mind on windows. The macro dir could potentially be an issue.

Re: conda build win 10 stopped working since Link merge

Resulting in a GUI being displayed, preferences such as Stylesheet are correct but others such as the Start Wb aren't open as expected. Hopefully both of our feedback can assist in a fully portable package, thanks for the efforts. Thanks for the feed back, this helps a lot. For the qt.conf, I was m...

Re: OpenSCAD WB: Move in to FreeCAD-addons?

Leaving it in master means that import of SCAD and CSG files is supported, otherwise people have got to discover that one needs to install the workbench to have these import filetypes supported. This is a very good point. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. A non-gui module could remain in the ma...

Let me know if there's any other info you need.
Your info is great.
I got rid of the hard coded paths in qt.conf and added the resorses directory.
Can you try again? Can you post the log even if it succeeds?

I downloaded and extracted FreeCAD_0.19.18516_x64_Conda_Py3QT5-WinVS2015.7z this morning in order to try something with Python 3.7 but unfortunately FreeCAD crashed during the load sequence.
Should be fixed now.
