Re: Any made an aerodynamic wind study (house or car) with FCAD
I tried to google and see if some people did some type or aerodynamic wind study with FreeCAD but did not find any examples. I wonder if there is another Cekuhnen active in the forum, who even uses the same avatar and signature: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=61950. Thats called baby ...

Any made an aerodynamic wind study (house or car) with FCAD
I tried to google and see if some people did some type or aerodynamic wind study with FreeCAD but did not find any examples. Anybody here who has experience with FreeCAD doing this? Imagine a basic house and you study how wind will flow thought it or a concept car body you sculpted and how it would ...

Re: Why don't developers add polar array command in Sketcher
I have been using Unigraphics Nx, autodesk inventor and solidworks for a long time. Each software have this command in the sketcher mode. If its was useless command then those softwares might not include this option. There are many answers to your question actually. An engineer might want to have i...

Re: Dado / groove for woodworking - Boolean "keep tool"
... the dreaded and evil Fusion 360... I suspect Autodesk will soon be afraid of Freecad as Microsoft fears Linux. Microsoft Windows is currently being merged with Linux. Wishful thinking - Would be cool if FreeCAD would have the sketch and modeling tools and quality to be a thread but it is not. T...

Re: week one of learning parametric CAD
Rek I teach SketchUp in my interior Design course and Fusion360 / Blender in my industrial Design course. As a professional also working in the field I have to say this: SketchUp is overrated - yea it is very easy to learn because it is also very primitive and basic units abilities. FreeCAD on the o...

Re: How to make a project fully parametric?
The spreadsheet in FreeCAD is not to be mistaken with what you do in excel.
But is is pretty cool how with FreeCAD you can access external spreadsheets.
It seems to me that primarily you want to develop something like a BIM system where all is predefined and you can change data.

Re: Easy way to move a feature on a step file
The showed methods to remove and rebuild work well here. I am only posting this for the OP as a different piece of understanding. This is like how direct modeling would work based on the Parasolid Kernel. the first part shows a working solution - you carefully need to move the part because the model...
