Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

Sorry, dont have the file anymore and dont remember since Ive moved on to other solutions to complete the machining. Ended up using FEATUREAREA (silver-bullet) and a lot of BSTs  to roll my own path. I have a lot of confidence in russ's efforts. Is he actually a.k.a. "Scott Evil"? No!, ju...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

...to quote the Zen of Python, "There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it.".... This is the kind of fish hook that would have never got man to the moon! <weakhumor> Have you ever met two programmers simultaneously in the same room; the only thing obvious, is that th...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

yeah, I know what OCL does. But currently, its not living up to its potential like when I used it in HEEKs CAD. If it is no big deal to make such a mod, its a good option/temporary solution. Just like in an old school machine shop, the more tools, jigs, fixtures, and etc. the better; it does not cha...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

Hey kreso, As an option selection, what are the chances/how difficult of modifying Path-Adaptive Op to just applying the waterline path segments and no material clearing to stock. This way one could execute a normal Adaptive Op to clear material and follow it up with a secondary adapt-op/more preci...

Re: Path : cannot remove a dead geometry.

This is a deep, long-standing and very difficult problem. Search the forum for 'topological naming' and you'll find much about it. Ouch. TOPO, TOPO, TOPO, where art thou topo ... what a pain in the ask! With respect to PATH, its a CRIPPLER from what i can see (lots of revisting models/especially wi...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Once again, you have outdone yourself! Thank you.
Works here on ubuntu-Xenial 16.04 LTS ( ver. FreeCAD-asm3-Conda-Py3Qt5-20190608.glibc2.12-x86_64.AppImage).
Very nice, my friend!

However, Im seeing a 'FeaturePython' object has no attribute 'UseRotation' error; will check out for more detail

... I'll try splitting the Link part and make a PR.
What about incorporating(PR) your topo solution; seems to work better than the others ? Got a feeing LINK should be fielded with TOPO (simultaneous)! --???

TOPO continues to be a FC weakness!

Hi,
is it possible that you try to import opencamlib as: import OCL instead of: import ocl?
kind regards
huegene

:D herbk, try to "locate" ocl.so like follows:
