Re: The user.cfg variable <FCText Name="FileOpenSavePath">/yourpath</FCText> seems not to be honoured.

Yes, but if I wanto to change it? I'm expecting that setting it to \whateveryouwant\ when opening and saving a file I'm presented with the view of the whateveryouwant directory. This is not the "expected" behaviour of a "setting", if I set something, the program as to react according to my "settings...

The user.cfg variable <FCText Name="FileOpenSavePath">/yourpath</FCText> seems not to be honoured.

L'unico modo secondo me sarebbe postare sul forum in inglese e chiedere...

Re: Path tool for 3d printing

But I'm not very much into che internals of FreeCAD to be authoritative source, but as the main goal of FreeCAD is CAD and the Path Workbench is CAM, 3D printing is a "different beast" and there are many free programs around that make good jobs, Slic3r among them is one of the most tunable and custo...

Re: Let's talk about fixtures.

From your discussion about fixtures, you have mentioned a way to machine two objects placed on two different position on the machine workplane and machine them as an exact copy one of another. Similar operation is called in some other CAM Nesting, and the solution is to define a nesting grid with pr...

Re: Esportazione STL difettosa

Re: Let's talk about fixtures.

If for Fixture you speak of G54 - G59.x. Only to repport my "user case" They are useful even if I'm only an hobbyst using a GRBL controller i could use only G54 to G59 no G59.x, and cutting only plywood with an hobbyst machine. I have different places where i fix my stocks so having to set the x0,y0...

Re: 0.18 AppImage - Conda

It is not a problem with the icon, the entire procedure of installing on Linux the Appimage of 0.17 gave the choice to install the appropriate .desktop file to start the program in the "standard" Linux path for this type of file (user path and not system wide path). 0.18 didn't give this choice. Reg...

0.18 AppImage - Conda

HI, I've just installed the 0.18 AppImage and updated using the tool AppImageUpdate-382-b61bee3-x86_64.AppImage having now a FreeCAD_0.18.15068_Conda_Py3Qt5_glibc2.12-x86_64.AppImage . The process is straightforward and the App is running but: In the previous 0.17 version at the first launch I was a...
