Re: Editing Bodies of PartDesign Boolean

It is a cylinder for a steam locomotive. Bildschirmfoto von 2022-01-28 23-21-39.png The steam passages are made by "cores" like in a casting. Bildschirmfoto von 2022-01-28 23-22-47.png I becomes really too unwieldy as a continuous PartDesign body. Maybe I will simply delete the Cut operati...

Editing Bodies of PartDesign Boolean

Hello,

I am trying to modify the tool bodies of a PartDesign boolean cut. It is possible to edit the sketches. But I cannot make the bodies visible to add fillets. Is there a trick short of deleting and recreating the boolean operation to edit the tool bodies?

Cheers,
Torsten

Re: Ticket #4372 - SpaceBall rotation stops when focus leaves main display panel in v0.18/0.19

Thank you, this was the right hint. The event ends up here and is sent to the wrong receiver: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/blob/master/src/Gui/MainWindow.cpp#L818 It works when the event is sent to "view" and not to "viewWidget". I will try to make a clean pull request. Che...

Re: Ticket #4372 - SpaceBall rotation stops when focus leaves main display panel in v0.18/0.19

Hi, I thought it would be easy but I must admit I am puzzled by the Qt event system. The function Gui::GUIApplicationNativeEventAware::postMotionEvent is called on any Spaceball motion but only if the 3d view has focus the event is handled correctly. This is a bit puzzling as the logic of passing th...

Re: Topological Naming, My Take

Hi, I am tracking the source. In a fresh build today I made a part design test. Test object was a simple brick with a 2 edge fillet. Both changing the sketch and inserting another fillet worked. The change to the sketch worked flawlessly. When I inserted another fillet, I got this: Recompute failed!...

Re: DressUp features (Fillet etc.) references

Geometry search turned up in Realthunders FreeCAD. Now editing the base sketch works as well. I am really impressed.

Re: DressUp features (Fillet etc.) references

Hi, I did make some tests with the stock FreeCAD and with the topological naming development: Topological Naming, My Take I simply made a brick with a fillet on 2 corners: Bildschirmfoto vom 2020-03-09 21-29-39.png The first test was to insert an additional fillet. This fails with the stock FreeCAD ...

Re: [Solved Upstream] When loading FC console shows: "connect failed: No such file or directory"

Releases of libspnav are very irregular. The last release (0.2.3) was 2014. The maintainer suggests either to use a specific git revision or to add the commit containing the wanted change to the package diffs.

Re: [Solved Upstream] When loading FC console shows: "connect failed: No such file or directory"

I did ask for a new release but the maintainer declined. I created a git package in the Arch user repository.

Does someone know what the policies are for git packages in the different Linux distros?

Re: When loading FC console shows: "connect failed: No such file or directory"

I asked the spacenavd developer. The offending message is gone. This will be fixed when the distribution packages are updated.
