It's easier than that use the Part make face tool!

Re: Clone Tool in Sketcher

The preferred method is to pattern the solid.

There are various drawing aids in Sketcher but they are not parametric, and do not add extra constraints.

Post the file for better advice.

Re: Moving Sketch to Datum Plane

If it takes more than 10mins to draw and constrain a sketch it is too complicated, break it down to fewer elements. It is trivial to move a sketch to another face use Map sketch to face tool:- https://wiki.freecad.org/images/d/df/Sketcher_MapSketch.svg https://wiki.freecad.org/Sketcher_MapSketch Ho...

I guess you'll have to wait for someone running the exact same version then.... :?

Don't, it isn't parametric neither are the array or circular drawing aids in sketcher.

Re: Fasteners workbench additions?

But if you are using rivets to join corners in sheet metal, they must be deformed for fit etc. This a little like threads, there is no real need to model them if drawings are produced because a note will suffice. It really just adds to the overall complexity of the model, not to mention how it may b...

Re: Tips for Speeding Up Complex Model

Does the model really need to be parametric? A consideration often overlooked. Then:- Do not model threads. When modelling mesh-like surfaces, and grids, do not model all of a pattern, just it's extents. Keep sketches simple. Use symmetry to it's greatest effect, and Pattern. Do not use Spreadsheets...
