Block with curved hole help
Hello, I need to hold a banjo fitting so I can put a 20 degree twist in it. I’d like to design a block that splits in two halves (that I know how to do) so I can clamp the tube portion of the fitting in place in a vice. What I don’t know how to do is create a hole that arcs through a part. I’m sure ...

Split an Object
Hello!
So I know how to split an object using a plane and then Part workbench and using Slice Apart.
My question is, what do I do next so I can continue to work on the 2 slices? I am not able to create a new plane on a face of a part anymore.
Thanks

Assembly with Motion
Hello!
I was wondering if it is possible to assemble a part and then have it function? I have a part within a part that is supposed to rotate inside it and I'd like to see it work in action. I attached a picture of the part. It's a gear handle for a control box I am building.
Thanks!

Re: Workable Copy/Mirror
Is this why I can't change anything? I am trying to change a sketch but nothing happens or it breaks the model.Shalmeneser wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 10:28 am Btw, you should not sketch upon face : TNP
You should use axis (at the 'top' of your object).

Re: Workable Copy/Mirror
I feel like being able to just mirror a part and have the option to make it into a new body and the ability to adjust it should live in the software. I don't understand. It is in the software. I didn't fumble anything outside of the FreeCAD GUI, and I'm quite sure that edwilliams didn't either. Yep...

Re: Workable Copy/Mirror
Draft clone Scale z = -1 Drag into new body Pocket a sketch. First, thank you very much as this was driving me crazy. Secondly, I am glad there is a way to do this but I feel like being able to just mirror a part and have the option to make it into a new body and the ability to adjust it should liv...

Re: Workable Copy/Mirror
Hey, Attached is a similar part I designed. I want to mirror it and then be able to make changes to the mirrored object without it changing the original part. The part in the file is the bottom half of a container. I want to mirror it so the new top half sits on top of the bottom half. The pad (Labe...
