I still try to Part->Explode the compound
Killed the process; my colleages complained about the fan spinning with 100%.

Re: Marking PartDesign not properly attached datums

Gimp has a closed/open chain in its scale dialog

Re: How to save viewable clipped area only

Then you are right for sure. I don't have the final 0.18 release because it turned out to be too unstable on the Mac.

Re: sketcher: wrong redundancy solving with symmetry

I guess it is not too important where it is added. It is just that we do not forget it when testing.

Re: Possible documentation to help people starting to use FreeCAD

So my former guess was better: ShapeBinder SlotOutlineSB references edges 13, 14, 15 from the master. In your version 1d these are the middle lines from the upper part. In version 1e edges 13,14,15 are from the lower part. I selected them here: Bildschirmfoto 2019-07-18 um 13.54.29.png . So as a con...

Re: Fillet Issues - Links go out of allowed scope

I still try to Part->Explode the compound, this took already half an hour and is still running. You may try in parallel, perhaps your machine/OS will handle it better. The result should be two solids - of which at least one will show the errors from above; most probably they are caused by the fillets.

Re: Fillet Issues - Links go out of allowed scope

A geometry check takes almost forever and says it's a compound with two solids. It most probably cannot be used for further boolean operations because BOPCheck fails with lots of messages "BOP Algo GeomAbs_C0".

Re: Combine/Merge/Move Two Objects

A boolean union does not move any objects, it makes from two or more objects a single one. If they overlap new edges are calculated. If you want to move objects, try Manipulator workbench addon or the Draft snapping tools.

Re: Fillet Issues - Links go out of allowed scope

If I could convert the step file of the original design and turn it into a solid, I could cut the fan and case apart and use that. But alas, it is not a shell and thus cannot be converted into a solid. So what is it? Most Step files I have seen here are already solidy so you can directly work in Pa...
