What you uploaded has no inverted sketch and the pocket is not reverted either. Yet the pocket works.

If you have a bit more experience, you should refrain from attaching sketches to faces, see this page, especially the paragraph about creating stable models.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

The image is not visible. To proces this with the Path workbench, you have to convert it to a solid. There are lots of posts about this. You switch to Part workbench, convert the mesh to a shape and then the shape to a solid.

You should first learn how to work solely with PartDesign and then solely with Part workbench (or vice versa) and then start mixing them. To add to TheMarkster's: You don't have to change all values in your model. If you switch to metric, everything stays at the same size.
