Exactly. And beyond this,
- from what I see, it works allright: both sketches have the same coordinate system before and after the merge;
- if you want to show us something, reduce the FreeCAD file to the bare minimum, I can't imagine that these two sketches need 1.9MB.

3-dimensionale B-Splines gibt es in der Draft workbench. Leichter zu handhaben sind aber oft Schnittkurven von orthogonal liegenden 2D-Kurven. Das ist auch als "Wilfrieds Trick" bekannt.

The newly created object has a depth which goes into the object where it is projected on. Make a boolean cut to get it "pocketed".

In diesem Fall solltest Du den ungewünschten Teil zu Konstruktionsgeometrie machen und dann das Teil in der Part-Workbench extrudieren.

I use the part cube all the time. Not in real models, but for quick checks to validate some answers to user questions. I even have it integrated in the toolbars for CAM and TechDraw.

There are indeed various great submissions, thanks to all contributors and to Obelisk, doing the organizational work! And I'm glad to see one outstanding ingenious proposal. A common shortcut for FreeCAD is FC, and we have seen many proposals, here and before, which incorporate these two letters. So...
