Re: still struggling to understand the modeling process of freecad

i draw a circle, hit P, then pull(extrude) the circle up and if i just type a number, lets say 6.5" it will extrude it to exactly 6.5 inches. Then if i hit F, and click the top surface it will offset the surface by what ever number and unit i type in. Now if i hit P again and grab the center o...

Re: Cutting out multiple objects with paths

There is no job in your model, so we don't know what you tried. - Note, that a pocket will fail, if the tool has exactly the diameter of the distance between the squares. - To get this done with an optimized path milling always from end to end, you may need further helper sketches and e.g. pretend t...

In the media here, the main point of discussion is, that discord claims the right to own all data processed on their platform, including monetizing. It may be an open case so it may not be published by the authorities yet.

In my job I don't design very complex things.
It's an art, to do even complex things in a simple way!

Thanks for the information. I will look into those parts, especially the UC300ETH looks promising. Until now I only looked at the Mesa cards to retrofit a Maho from the 80's.

Re: still struggling to understand the modeling process of freecad

so why is it better to create this in the PART WB vs the PART DESIGN WB? It is not better, it's different. It depends on your way of thinking, which one you prefer. i wish somehow sketchup and freecad had a love child and what not. That would be a horrible bastard, because - respecting the wishes o...

Re: A new take on the UI. FreeCAD Nut.

Some here view that as a threat or treat it like some hidden secret cave which requires special permission to access. Not to forget those from the EU authorities who rate discord breaking european law. FreeCAD's community is bigger than an antiquated message board platform. And where would you sugg...

There are some discussions about how to improve this. Until then it is best to do it right  , where e.g. the Polyline tool is of grat help, as it creates the coincidences all by itself.

Die Datei enthält weder einen Job, noch ein gültiges Sketch für "Lochkreis Klebung Bohrung Aussen" und daher kann man auch keinen Job anlegen. Das musst Du erst mal reparieren. Dann würde ich MillFace probieren.

Re: Help with Pocketing

I wonder if wouldn't be better to fix some of the old sketcher issues instead of opening one can of worms after the other. I'm afrad that currently nobody understands how to fix the solver errors, there is still the void left by Abdullah.
