Re: How to delete features
I'm sure it's far from best practice, but a couple of times when I have been near to completing things and I needed to do the same I added new features to fill holes, or pockets to remove stuff I no longer wanted

Re: Draft grid - axis lines
Thanks - it's one of those balance things I think. Reducing the resolution would make other things much less pleasant, so I think I'd rather live with the grid axis being difficult to see but keep a nice appearance of the rest.

Draft grid - axis lines
Hi All, Quick question, does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the width of the lines used for the grid axes? I.e. the red and green ones? I'm finding them very difficult to see on my hi dpi monitor, but haven't found any preferences or parameters that seems relevant. Thanks! Brutha, OS: macOS ...

Re: A thought on terminology
a coordinate system is a precise mathematical construct, we should not rename it. But you're right that "linking" them is probably not the correct terminology. What about " connecting local coordinate systems (LCS)" ? Would that be easier to understand ? The Assembly4 documentat...

A thought on terminology
Hi All, This morning, as per my other post, I finally clicked on how Assembly4 works, and am now very happy indeed with it! But it has prompted a thought: the thing that really prevented me getting there earlier was probably the terminology. I found the idea of "linking local co-ordinate system...

Assembly4: best practice
Hi All, I had tried previously to get my head round Assembly4 but for some reason I just couldn't get the concepts, and I didn't really like the idea of having to create many files for quite simple assemblies. However, tried again this morning, and this time I understood it! In fact it's quite simpl...

Re: How to browse variables in debug mode?
Visual Studio 2019 is available for Mac. I'm using Windows, but here is a couple screenshots: Thanks! I have Visual Studio Code, but didn't try Visual Studio itself - seems like there are issues with both on Mac from what I read, but will give it a crack when I get time, as what you are showing is ...

How to browse variables in debug mode?
Hi All, Does anyone know of any easy way to browse the various Python variables and objects in debug mode or otherwise? I've tried getting Visual Studio Code debugging going as per various forum posts, but it doesn't to work on Mac with FreeCAD. The reason: I find the standard lighting in FreeCAD a ...
