Thanks ! Will try !

Re: Result mesh single element/node picking and inspection

Uh, I just noticed that the value shown in the dialog box is the same for any point and DisplacementeVectors or StressVectors.

Please check if the attached file is complete enough to point out that behaviour. Thanks !

Re: Result mesh single element/node picking and inspection

Hi, I'm a bit lost here. I have sort-of managed to get the DataAtPoint, but I'm not sure what I'm getting, see attached screeshot: I was expecting a vector, not a scalar. Clipboard03.png Also, if I left-click on a result mesh face the Selection View (often, not always) reports a string like: freecad...

Building structural design workflow

HI, I would like to gather information, share points of view and learn how to possibly extend and consolidate the FEM Wb to improve the support for building struttural design workflow. One of the things I need almost every day is the ability to have mixed 1D and 2D FE meshes, that represent pillars,...

Re: fcFEM - FEA from start to finish

It looks like GMSH is left without node reordering by design: http://onelab.info/pipermail/gmsh/2008/003717.html Plus, partially offtopic, is see no trace of node reordering in the OOFEM manual. Mhmmm, maybe we need a general node reordering intermediate step before writing input files and reading b...

Re: how to name different finite element meshes

FWIW, I second @HarryvL: those seem to be the most univoque and unambigous descriptions.

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

Hi, To me it looks natural that at a certain point the rebar addon (or a new Reinforced concrete addon) should be able to talk to the fem module results too, then design the reinforcement accordingly and perform the checks. I would add that code provisions may require (lots of) additional checks on ...

Re: fcFEM - FEA from start to finish

I'm guessing the same after you described the BCs.

Edit: in the other pictures, the left face stays flat, so for sure it's a visualization issue.
