Re: Help with polar pattern

My guess is not proper constrained central tube -probably slight shift towards rectangular pad, which makes the first pad to succeed but the polar one fails. Hard to tell without a file. Quite likely, but my point is that he is trying to do a polar pattern feature with a feature that has two compon...

Re: Help with polar pattern

Hello, welcome to FreeCAD. :) my connection is very, very slow... I know the feeling, I have had a few connection problems and slow downs over the last few weeks, I assume due to the massive increase in Internet traffic due to all the corona virus lock downs around the world. i see you are French, i...

Re: Part primitives Vs draft primitives

ping Hi Jim, can you briefly explain what whas the goal of implementing such option? so we have it documented somewhere. Thx I have been having a great deal of difficulty accessing our site, it keeps timing out etc. I am assuming that it's related to congestion/etc./ related to the pandemic. So i h...

or just learn how to use the Gimp and never look back! :)

Serious question though, is there any real reason why you can't just use the Gimp? Is there something you need to do that it can't? Just curious. :)

The problem appears to be when you are saving across your network....Do you see any issues when saving to your local machine?

Re: Zoom factor of scroll wheel? Preference?

The scroll wheel zoom seems to use a bigger zoom factor (per click) then the Std_ViewZoomIn and Std_ViewZoomOut commands. Is there a preference for this? It's preferences ...Display....Navigation tab ....Zoom Step (to the right of "zoom at cursor" tick box) at least that is where it is in 0.19. Jim...

Re: A circular array of circles SOLVED

I want an array of 18 circles, of diameter 1, arranged evenly with centers on the circumference of a larger circle of diameter 100. I found the array button in the Draft bench which multiplied my smaller circle and placed them randomly. I do not see how to align the centers with the larger circle c...

Re: Part Workbench Sweep Function doesn't work with non-simply-connected sketches?

Another possible method, if your wall thickness is consistent, then you could just Sweep the outer as a solid then select both end faces and apply a Part WB Thickness. If you Sweep the outer then the Thickness value needs to be negative, in my example its negative 10. If you Sweep the inner then you...

Re: Part Workbench Sweep Function doesn't work with non-simply-connected sketches?

Your first post, welcome to FreeCAD. :) A couple of tips, don't mix Part and PartDesign objects, use one or the other. Mixing causes complications. You can create a general purpose sketch from Sketch workbench so that it is not in a PartDesign body. In PartWB see the Part menu....Primitives (submenu...
