Re: Telefisch

Hi.
Please go to Edit->Preferences->General->Output window
Make sure "Record warnings" and "Record error messages" are enabled.

Then go to View->Panels->Report view
Do you see any errors or warnings there?

Cheers,
Mateusz

Re: Telefisch

but when I open the Path workbench, there is no "Job" button. It is also not available in the Path menu. Do you have to do something to an imported STEP model before it can be used as the basis for a CAM program? Hi. Path->Job should be visible all the time. No matter what file is opened....

Re: Problem with profile

Hello @chrisb! Try it! This tolerance has nothing to do with any tolerance of the machine. Here is an example with setting both values to 0.001mm. Don't forget to recompute the whole model after changing the settings. That did the trick. After setting 3 decimals and 0.001mm exported gcode was as exp...

Re: Problem with profile

Works here with small tolerance values in Preferences->Path->Job Preferences. Hi @chrisb. This is not it I think. I have it set at 0.01mm both. I can't go any lower than that (I think). Here is a screenshot of the LinuxCNC view of the file. profile-problem-2.png Any more hints? Cheers, Mateusz

[solved] Problem with profile

Hi. I am back to tinkering with my small cnc. Today I've encountered a problem with the profile operation. G2 offsets are very big. Where is it coming from? Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Cheers, Mateusz OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) (KDE/plasma) Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Ve...

Re: SSD advice

Do you have both src tree and build dirs on solid state storage? Yes. Everything. I suppose it's best to have dedicated device separate from the system drive in case it hits wear issues. Storage is quite cheap today. So no problem to migrate to a new one. Mine has been going strong for 3 years now....

Re: SSD advice

Hello @freman. I've been using a NVME for almost 3 years now. No ill effects on the disk. It helps when you want to run with more cores. My old HDD could not keep up to serve data for the compiler when running with -j17 option. Some cores where idle waiting for data (8 cores, 16 threads). After migr...

Cześć.
Musisz użyć narzędzia "Thickness" ze środowiska Part design a nie Part.

Przykład w załączniku.
