Re: freecad 0.18 fails to build against Python3 and Qt5

Trying to build against python3 and Qt5 I installed all the dependencies, followed the compile out of source instructions Ran Cmake with these options #! /bin/sh cmake -DBUILD_QT5=ON \ -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release \ -D PYTHON_LIBRARY=/usr/lib64/libpython3.7m.so \ -D PYTHON_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/include/py...

Compilation on Debian 10 Not possible

Hello I recently upgraded from Debian 9 to Debian 10 and when I was following the instructions to compile FreeCAD, I realized that one of the dependencies Python-pyside no longer exists, now there is a python-pyside2 that seems to not play well with FreeCAD. What can I do in order to compile FreeCAD?

Re: [SOLVED] Copy of FeaturePython Object looses functionality

Thanks @wmayer I did as you said, added the two lines mentioned above and imported the Steel_Frame_Creator.py instead of running it on the FCMacro, I also added the method that @joel_graff said.. def onDocumentRestored(self, obj): ''' Restore object references on reload ''' print 'Document Restored'...

Re: Copy of FeaturePython Object looses functionality

I think there is something missing in the macro. When I try to import Steel_Frame_Creator.py it raises an error that FreeCAD is not defined. In order to get the macro working I had to add two lines: import FreeCAD App=FreeCAD After fixing this I could import the module and also copy&paste worked. H...

@joel_graff , @wmayer

This is the code itself, and I am aiming to eventually have it included as part of the Arch workbench...

Re: Copy of FeaturePython Object looses functionality

I had not, but I just tried, saved the document, reopen but the function

Code: Select all

def onDocumentRestored(self, fp):
Never ran, I put in a print statement just to know if it was running.

When is this function supposed to be triggered?

Re: Copy of FeaturePython Object looses functionality

@wmayer Saving and re opening creates the same problem. <unknown exception traceback><type 'exceptions.AttributeError'>: 'module' object has no attribute 'Steel_Frame' And the object no longer reacts to changes in it's properties... I thought the class definition was stored in the object somehow. Wh...
