Re: Begging for help regarding temperature FEM analysis

Hi lighting_freak, Maybe you should start with a much simpler/simplified model to explore whats possible in FC-FEM. I built a IMHO simpler model just for testing. Please see Screenshot from 2020-03-25 20-49-29.png Yes, there are still problems with selecting inner domains. See: https://forum.freecad...

Re: Challenge: Constant Velocity Joint (M. Gesik)--UPDATE

The geared links were a real challenge. They took several hours of fiddling in order to get a valid solid that closely duplicated the original. Do you know the "Mesh Remodel workbench" ? Maybe it is helpful. https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=38670 I like that you used Gears. I wonder...

Re: Challenge: Constant Velocity Joint (M. Gesik)

File size is about 9 Mb so far. Nice work! Really well made pictures. Would like to give it a +1 or eqivalent if the forum would allow :!: :? Is this file size probably with all the mesh data included? If so, whats without mesh? BTW: @Kunda1 where to suggest one of these pics as 0.19 startup pic. B...

Re: Elmer electrostatics FEM

you mixed electricforcesolver and electricforce. You are right. Added all your changes to my branch but still have no success. Will clear all all build files and try again. I will try your branch if this does not help. Should it be named equation electricforcesolver or equation electricforce? Since...

Re: Elmer electrostatics FEM

start FreeCAD run the unit test will fail ... gives import Test >>> import femtest.app.test_object Traceback (most recent call last): File "<input>", line 1, in <module> ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'femtest' Since FEM is not available (from dropdown-Start-Menu) maybe femtest also isn't.

Re: directly start Paraview from inside FreeCAD

Just saw that CfdOF can open Paraview from within FC for visualizing the mesh and results (See also the picture in the following tutorial on page 8, https://github.com/opensimsa/opensim/raw/master/Documentation/CFD/UAV2/CFD%20Tutorial%204%20-%20External%20Aerodynamics%20of%20a%20UAV.pdf). Maybe some...

Re: Elmer electrostatics FEM

The writer does not yet work. Its only related to some wrong units (you used the one of stefan_boltzmann() :D ). Please see https://github.com/berndhahnebach/FreeCAD_bhb/pull/67 for the changes in the following lines in writer.py to.... Line 203 (in setConstant): theUnit = "s^4*A^2/(m*kg)" Line 203...
