I think both python and eclipse are corner cases where they are (partly ?)open source, but also created / as manufacurer level. And that make thinks complicated.

I would say that this is similar to rhino. Use also Nurbs, also strong in Freeforms. in the past it had a AutoCAD like workflow for creating drawings. Commercial €1000 per user(without extra renderer) so quite acceptable!

I can't remember anyone ever saying this shouldn't be made I know, sometimes i'm a bit chaotic in typing/ writing down so probably my last two post make the total story for what i meant. If after both confusion is sky high... the shortest version is try to find situations where more than one method...
