Re: Thread issue - material disappeared?
I also have no clue what might be wrong, in this case. I've used this method a number of times & it normally works quite well. I *will* try to move forward with the file you posted, though - many thanks for uploading! 8-) If it fails again on me, I'll finish this up in another application - I'll...

Re: Thread issue - material disappeared?
One step forward, 2 steps back? it worked.JPG Don't really understand how it triggers the issue, but it seems that removing the bore in the pipe solves the issue of the disappearing material. However.... When placing the bore back, now that the thread issue is solved, the entire object disappe...

Re: Thread issue - material disappeared?
This is a tricky one... Thanks for looking into this with me, people - it's really appreciated & we're not there yet... 8-) I've rebuilt the model, omitting the chamfers & whatnot until lateron (updated file's attached) . At this stage, when checking the geometry, both the main body (...

Re: Thread issue - material disappeared?
Thanks for helping out here, but it seems that there is something else, still? I narrowed it down to 1.75. but the material is still disappearing.

Apologies for not posting feedback on your support sooner, but life kinda got in the way. 8-) Again, thanks for the replies given - I really do appreciate the support here in the forum. I opted to go with Bejant's proposal for this one & it worked exactly as described. I really appreciate...

Dazu ...

Re: So far, I'm unable to handle DWG & DXF files in FreeCad?
Hi Triplus, all, Conversion into a 2D drawing, as described, is going fairly well. Have a few things to learn, I think, but still. :D However, I read in the other thread, referred to above, about the flipped arcs: I also seem to have a case of that.
