Re: Wooden Cladding

Yes this is one method of creating them, but I am afraid for construction documents it wont be really useful. the method I use which be less expedient, but gives wanted results is to simply use the wall tool, each single wall becomes a clad, it can be refined much better, but I have found this metho...

Re: Adding annotation working?

Hi Regis, That was a simple answer:-) And sure enough, it worked like a charm! Not the nicest user interface feature of freecad though. An OK button in the task field would be a nicer way. Thanks, Bert Yeah I agree, that same thing sent me on for a loop the first times, took me a while to figure ou...

Re: Hide/Show window with host

My FreeCad version is 0.17, Git Revision 13522. you should probably obtain the most recent version of 0.18 because on mine it does work. OS: Linux Mint 19.1 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.18.15972 (Git) AppImage Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: 4e973324ae03c...

Re: Adding annotation working?

hit enter twice after you've entered ur text. When you hit enter once, it takes you to the next line as if you have a multi line text. So if you hit enter when it suggests the second line and there is no text, it will validate your text and you should see it somewhere on the tree view.

Re: Architecture work in FreeCAD

I'm thinking a few of these images should go in the Screenshots wiki page! The 0.18 section is yet to be created. Would you give permission regis? C'mon you don't need my consent. Any thing published here isn't it free and open source? Do with it as it pleases you. The file is downloadable so you c...

Re: ArchSite Compass

I would suggest renaming it as "orientation" for where you have put "visualize True North" and where it says , true false. You can say "project north, or True north". I think that makes more sense architecturally.

Re: Roof Arch_remove displaced result

hard to guesstimate what's wrong with your stuffs at this point, honestly I can't tell what's wrong with your model after looking at it. My best suggestion is just delete the Roof holes and create a new one.

Re: ArchSite Compass

basically you have the right idea from what I see there, so a true north when you import your info with real world real site coordinates and orientation of the house etc etc, and then probably have a way to Set the project north now, by having that declination you are showing. So some way to store t...
