Thank you, your strategy seems to be a good work arouund. Not trying to be picky but i wished it retained the basic material shader. For example the glass window has lost it's color and transparency. But it is usable.

Re: Architecture work in FreeCAD
I would like to come to thank the freecad community for their relentless effort to make freecad a state of the art program for 3d modeling and precisely for architectural modeling. It has improved a great deal, is more stable than before, and i was able to push it to see how far it can handle fairly...

Re: Step file doesn't export doors and windows.
The Hosting solution that has been adopted for Arch_Windows is not recognized when exporting. Windows and doors have to be selected separately. Yeah i had a hunch that it could be more of this than a bug, but wasn't too certain. can you upload the file? i haven't yet pushed the main file to github,...

I like your 2d output and especially the elevations and siding hatch you were able to pull off on the .19 version.bitacovir wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 1:39 pm 6s2kbyz8a8jp.png (245.53 KiB)

Re: Architecture work in FreeCAD
Alright here is the final output. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l2k4byuo6vz5oog/Model.FCStd?dl=0 Great work. Could I suggest adding a few more dimensions: For the horizontal, great to have lead dimension and openning dimensions. One more line for wall thickness and room size is a plus. On the elevation...

Re: Architecture work in FreeCAD
I think this is a cool thread, pity it's dead till 2019. So now it can be up :-) If anyone has some real Architecture/Engineering draw work made in FreeCAD please post it and share here, even as a showcase. :D Not dead bro, just dozing off seasonally. here is something i've been working on. A small...

Step file doesn't export doors and windows.
Hello everyone, I have noticed that that step file export from freecad doesn't really like windows and doors, as you can see from the attached screenshots. I've tested in on a simple file where a window is simply attached to a wall host and it doesn't work. Here is the mainfile with the windows and ...

[FEATURE REQUEST] 3D Offset tool improvement
I'm not sure if this tool should be included in within the BIM tools, but it is very handy and I would be glad to see it in the BIM workbench, if not, i'm not so sure if i should make this post in the BIM or the Part Workbench. In anycase this is what improvement should be great about it. I find thi...
