Re: Keyboard lockup during longish operation

Right, I'll try that... notable: As FreeCAD finishes computing the computer is back to normal. The Keyboard and Mouse is a "Logitech MK120", both connected via USB. Pulling the keyboard USB-connector and reinserting it a few seconds later - no difference. I take it that keystroke processing is block...

Keyboard lockup during longish operation

This https://www.dropbox.com/s/2tisya4sbz7pwni/lensFocusTool%2B.FCStd?dl=0 *.FCStd has a multitransform as last addition. (Note: drawing in early stages of figuring out things.) When editing this, any view updates takes 30-ish minutes - probably due to the fine detail involved. 1. Might there be a b...

Re: FreeCAD Python... getting started.

Many functions under the FreeCAD namespace are originally in the App namespace in the C++ code. In the file src/App/ApplicationPy.cpp we see the definition and implementation of all the methods exposed in Python, and basic documentation of them. https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/blob/master/src/Ap...

Re: Sketcher: Possible to Disable Solving of Carbon Copies?

BTW, why are you all using carbon copies instead of shapebinders? Is there any advantage to that workflow? I find shapebinders "cumbersome", probably; I haven't understood the basics. The same goes for datum lines, planes, ... for which I have yet to understand how to set the references so that i g...

Re: Anyone Willing to Share Source File for Study Purposes?

There is a set of example files somewhere... I can't find them right now though... A created a set of 100 that are included, based on the content of a training book. I'm not claiming them to be good examples, I would probably create them in another manner today ;-) Ahh... found them: https://github....

Re: Tips for increasing base plate adhesion?

Calibrate your plastic flow and the gap, or just tune extrusion multiplier in real time while printing the first layer. I'd say the gap might be the problem, lower the first layer (in the slicer) and tune the bed to head distance with very small decrements first (or increments eventually if decreas...
