Re: Adding new toolbits not possible

We have fixed and merged several things leading up to the 0.19 release. Are you saying that there is still an outstanding bug? If so, please back up your .FreeCAD directory, remove it and retry with a fresh install. There were several values left in the parameter system that might have caused troubl...

Re: Unexpected/Strange Behavior in Path

You can use the --no-tlo to suppress the G43 Hn command. However, that command shouldn't have any effect on the X offset unless you have X offset values in your tool table.

... I've done a branch with the fixes here: https://github.com/sliptonic/freecad/tree/bug/proxyerror If you are okay with it, I will just submit my other bug fixes related to post-processing to your branch mentioned. Russell Sure. That's fine. It would be nice to know what's happening but I'm not g...

You're correct. Neither grbl or centroid import PathUtils These are the ones that do. fanuc heidenhain linuxcnc mach3_mach4 phillips In every case, the post is only looking up the job for informational purposes. There is a new setting in preferences specifically for ocl based ops. Is that enabled too?

Re: [Bug] Postprocessing error 'Cannot access attribute 'Proxy' of deleted object'

I don't understand why this is suddenly happening. When the postprocessor tries to look up the job by looking for for the parent of the objects to be posted, it's seems to be trying to find the job of the document that was closed. I don't understand it but it's easy (and a very good idea) to avoid i...

Re: Gcode not output except for pre- and post-amble

You guys are totally awesome!! You are 100% correct, the G54 selection is key. Without it, no code is generated. I had deselected that as G54 appears to upset my Marlin based CNC. For some reason it shifts the origin when it is present even with no X Y Z params. That's what coordinate systems do. G...

Re: Easy way to get path to grbl LASER?

I guess I still don't understand what you're working with. You say grbl Laser but I'm making the assumption that you're talking about LaserGRBL. I don't know this software but according to the website it's a sender designed to communicate with a GRBL controller. It looks like it works with gcode nat...

Re: Easy way to get path to grbl LASER?

Lasers aren't as standardized as 3D printers and CNC mills. Some work from gcode and some work directly from dxf or svg. I think maybe laserweb can do this too. For the first kind, you just need to customize your postprocessor. My laser runs like this using a smoothieboard. I have a set of job templ...
