Re: travis.yml

1) As far as I can tell ccache doesn't support MSVC, so we use clcache. That means anything ccache in the windows blocks is not doing anything? Not sure, you probably want to ask @abdullahtahiriyo because he added the Windows ccache environment variables https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/commit/4b...

Re: travis.yml

Anybody know what .travis.yml#L140 Travis 140 is yaml block notation. It basically means that all statements following the -| at a given indentation level are considered a single block hence it is a method for grouping several logically-connected shell script statements into a single execution bloc...

Import Hover.io model to FreeCAD for BIM/Arch

Recently I used Hover.to to produce a house model to visualize various siding and window patterns however Hover's grill patterns and materials are fairly limited. Hover exports to Sketchup and DXF so I thought "no problem", I'll just pull a DXF export into FreeCAD and have at it - turns ou...

Re: [wip] conda: update to gcc7 and py3.7

@loo, The [abi:cxx11] seems to indicate that boost was compiled with an Application Binary Interface (ABI) that is not compatible with cxx17. I believe that either boost needs to be compiled with cxx17 or you need to compile it with the newer ABI. Checkout https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/libstdc++/ma...

Re: Py3 Mac app for testing

congrats @Looo and @peterl94 Nice to see a OSX version again!! @peterl94 and @loo - well done. I'm onboard with this for all platforms as I stated here about a week ago - https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-AppImage/pull/10#issuecomment-450514116 and in some back and forth with peterl4 and looo. Re: OpenCAMLib Homebrew formula installation fails

I am not a unix expert in any way and just wish to install opencamlib to use 3d surfaces cammand. I have included a text document that shows terminal output. Try this: brew install --build-from-source --verbose https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FreeCAD/homebrew-freecad/bottling/Formula/opencamlib.rb

Re: [wip] conda: update to gcc7 and py3.7

This is a very nice offer. Would shipping to Austria/Innsbruck be possible? Everything is possible but I have no idea what that would cost. Can you PM your address to me so I can see how much it would cost to ship to you? Also, you will need to provide a USB keyboard and Monitor - either HDMI or DV...

Re: [wip] conda: update to gcc7 and py3.7

Hello bruce, thanks for the offer. This sounds very good, but still I am not sure if it will speed up the iterations a lot. I am not used to tunnels and VNC, .. so this will definetly need some time to get used to. I would prefer the option to iterate the builds on my own machine (This is what I am...

Re: [wip] conda: update to gcc7 and py3.7

I am pretty happy with the possibilities given by conda-forge to build on all main systems (travis, circle-ci, appveyor). Also conda-forge is sponsored by num-focus and therefor they pay for the service if it is necessary (this was the case during the gcc7-porting). Building locally gives me the op...
