Re: ARCH Rebar - what is cause of unintialized variable

Some more info. I created a stand alone column that was not connected to the structure and created a straight rebar with no problem. I used the defaults in the dialog box. This tells me that something is wrong with the ARCH Structure object that causes the rebar tool to barf. What should I look for?...

Re: ARCH Rebar - what is cause of unintialized variable

PappyBlaise, I renamed the model when I saved a copy to my dropbox account. I will rename it and correct the dropbox link. With regard to the screen shot and the questions, I would like some clarification. The screenshot is indeed the coreect one and I don't understand your comment about the questio...

ARCH Rebar - what is cause of unintialized variable

I am getting a stack dump in the report view. The dump is caused by a reference to an uninitialized variable in the Rebar Tool. Unknown command 'Draft_Edit' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/dglaser/.FreeCAD/Mod/Reinforcement/StraightRebar.py", line 137, in clicked self.accept(button) F...

[Solved] Rendering error of an ARCH object

FreeCAD is incorrectly rendering an ARCH Structrure. The two following pictures illustrate the problem. The first picture, called Front-Top-View, shows an ARCH Structure object called Ramp. In this picture the object is fully visible. The view is from the front-top perspective. In the second picture...

Rebar placement problems

I'm having problems with the generated rebar geometry. In the enclosed model I illustrate three different problems. The model contains spread footings and columns. The first problem is with the object called South Footing. The rebar tool has the rebar protruding from the footing in the negative y ax...

Re: Need help diagnosing access violation

I forgot to mention that the same model works fine on an old Lenovo Thinkpad 410 running Windows 7.

It also works fine if I boot my workstation with Ubuntu 18.04.2 instead of Windows 7.

Need help diagnosing access violation

I have a model that is causing access violoations in FreeCAD during the graphical display of the model. The model is very large - 1.4 mb, and contains ARCH/DRAFT objects. If I turn off the display of all arch objects, save one, I can open the model and pan, zoom, rotate to my hearts content. However...

Re: ARCH Section and Techdraw ArchView not clipping

I have attached a picture of the dialog box for editing an ARCH Section. As you can see, it contains most of the model. I tried to include the model (FCSTD file) but it is too large. However, you did answer the question as to why clipping does not occur - An Arch SectionPlane is an infinite plane, t...
