Re: Show your FreeCAD projects here!
Normally you could go to Preferences --> Part design / Shape view and change the tesselation value. Put in a smaller value to get a more refined view on screen. Then when exporting an STL file it will be refined as well. Or the other way is to go to the Mesh design workbench, select your part and g...

spacer to lift a Panasonic TV
This is a spacer to lift a Panasonic TV by 25 mm. I needed this to make room to place my Bose speakers underneath the display on both sides. It's no big deal, and maybe no one needs it but me, but it is a good example that you can quickly design and print parts for your personal use. I love 3D print...

Re: Show your FreeCAD projects here!
I haven't shown a project here for quite a long time. This one is unfinished... and I'm not sure I'll complete it. It is the first project I modeled in FreeCAD to 3D print. Hi Normand, you are going to be a real car designer ;-) Even if it might not yet have the perfect shape, it probably is the fi...

Re: Use case
It ships fully assembled and calibrated, with three 5lbs (2.27kg) spools of ABS filament. Unfortunately the colors shipped are red, black and natural - which means I'll have to purchase a blue spool if I am to print the FreeCAD logo. :D Hi Norman I am very glad to see that now you are also a proud ...

Re: Sketch to face bug on version 13
The problem always appears when you set a support face for a new sketch but saved the project without adding any geometry to the new sketch. This way the correct placement information are always overridden by the (default) placement information of the empty shape of the sketch. This also happens wi...

Sketch to face bug on version 13
After I spend reams of hours wondering why odd things happen (sketches leaving their places flipping around) when I want to edit a sketch and now trying to draw my part for the third time, I think I know what may have caused all the trouble: When a sketch was drawn in xz or yz and you want to create...

Re: Edit sketch in history limited?
Hi Norm Now I can answer my question by myself. In principle there seems to be no limit of sketches to be able to edit afterwards. In an example I mirrored twice, made cuts and unions and it is still possible to edit the first sketch. It is even possible to add or delete parts of it. But these were ...
