Re: AppImages of v0.18 release builds

The libnsl issue should be resolved now. Another issue was reported. This one is likely similar to the one regarding enabling help (F1). I need to do some more tests before trying to address this. The issue(s) might not necessarily be related only to how Conda manages runtime paths. P.S. Does the he...

Re: Release of 0.18

As far as I know, 15310 was not conda based, but what is more important I didn't have any crashes. I replaced it due to some new stuff, I wanted to have. 15525 was made in a similar way like @sgrogan does the windows builds based on conda-packages. everything after 15525 should be packaged similar ...

Re: [Solved] AppImage after 0.19_pre 16291 - - No longer run in Fedora 29

Actually it's bundled in the 0.19 appimages, but not used... I guess we need to find a way to link against condas sysroot libs instead of system libs. Nop. I took a look and libnsl is missing. People using Conda directly on Fedora 28+ will likely need to install the mentioned package too. I decided...

Re: Multipart project - how to?

Hmmm, I am a bit confused but not shocked :-) ... It still does not dispel my uncertainty and little knowledge of the assumptions of introducing objects like "body" and "part". I use them rather intuitively and "part" objects appear in my projects rather sporadically, hence my uncertainty. Likely t...

Re: FreeCAD OCAF and reinventing the wheel

I really love Qt as it makes many things very easy to implement. When I think back at the time when we used MFC  But there is one really annoying thing with it: in the past it often happened that existing functions or whole modules are declared deprecated and then have been removed in future ...

Re: [Solved]Black screen by starting first document

Anyways, is there a way to use the newer builds with the older Qt versions? I took a quick look and on releases page: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/ It looks like there are still Py2/Qt4 builds available for Windows for now. At some point in the future likely only Py3/Qt5 builds will ...

Re: IconThemes

I am pleased to announce that after a few years of progressing this area we have reached a milestone. There is still some work left to do but FreeCAD now has a proper cross-platform icon themes support. Thanks to all involved in any way in the past. In addition a high quality icon theme pack in .rcc...
