Re: printer friendly version of a sketch.

If you are after creating a SVG file. I would recommend creating a view of the Sketch on TechDraw drawing page and to add desired dimensions. Export the result to SVG after. This is considered to be a standard and recommended procedure for creating drawings and therefore best if you get familiar wit...

Re: FreeCAD OCAF and reinventing the wheel

Thanks for providing the additional explanation. Therefore our viewport is still more or less 100% Coin3D powered. Hopefully Coin3D will be able to cope with all emerging technologies for some time to come. Fingers crossed.

Re: Feature request: "Rocket Science Mode"

Is the goal making a software which will be used by as many people as possible or making a proper CAD software? The problem with any CAD i guess is majority of people don't use it. Most people believe they need a calculator, word processor and a game or two. CAD is usually not on such list. People ...

Re: install multiple version of a workbench

I don't know which import style you use and there are some differences regarding Py2/Py3. But regardless of all that in the end you likely won't be able to use the same import statement for both modules. One will for example need to have an additional suffix, such as NameDev.py or name_dev.py. This ...

Re: [RFC] FreeCAD commit history formatting ideas

As a general guideline, commit messages shouldn't be too long. Some git tools complain, when you start creating too long commit message. Using some special formatting in commit messages could therefore likely go against such guidelines. We could decide to not follow such guidelines. Anyway, i have a...

Re: PieMenu (v2.0)

I will be able to dedicate some free time again towards finishing PieMenu v 2.0. Current status is back end was developed during command panel development and front end related tasks all went through the prototype stage. In short i am still committed in reaching the initially set goals.

Re: How to create shortcuts for the Draft workbench, and calling commandManager from Python

If I go to Tools->Customize->Keyboard tab, I can select from a list of categories, see their commands, and then assign shortcuts to them. I noticed that the "Draft" workbench is not there. They are there but likely in not all that obvious place. After Draft workbench gets activated look again under...

Re: Feature request: "Rocket Science Mode"

If some functionality is not easy to use majority of people won't use it. Therefore actually investing an effort in making something "rocket science". That makes little sense in the first place. The real issue usually is a developer implements some feature and isn't all that interested in acknowledg...

Re: Selector toolbar

Hi @easyw-fc AFAIR it was done on purpose. For being able to get results like this: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=21403&start=20#p169289 I don't have a strong opinion on this as both options work fine for me. If some feel FreeCAD stylesheets should change in this regard best to d...
