Re: V 0.18 and add-ons

Hi Chris, Drawing Dimensioning was suggested to me about one maybe two years ago. I had a thread about weld symbols I believe. Weld symbols and the extra annotation options are the things I like outside of Tech Draw. I'm aware that dimensions can be added via the Draft Workbench and then project the...

Re: V 0.18 and add-ons

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Going off what Vocx said I went ahead with Tech Draw and Fasteners didn't the ability of making hollowed tube sections. So currently sketch and Pad method works for me as well. NormandC: I see how the report view keeps a log of recent messages, however using Tech Dra...

Re: freecad 0.17 12852 x64 problem

Have you've tried "Make Compound" function?

It is in the Part drop down menu.

As far as having issues making a union, it may be due to the overlapping parts. Out of curiosity is there a reason for three different parts?

Re: BOLTS Open Library of Technical Specifications

the Part::FaceMakerBullseye seams not supported by FreeCAD 0.16 Hi Bernd, I'm also getting the same error message in V 0.16, this started to happen after I've Downloaded BOLTS to be used in V 0.17. I Realized both versions are using the BOLTS file under the Users\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD folder. So ...

Re: In memoriam: Roland Frank (r-frank) 1970-2017

I'm generally at a loss for words in times of passing. I appreciate Roland's YouTube videos they have really helped me understand 3d modeling, I'm sure he has made huge contributions to the community as well.

May Roland rest in peace and I wish comfort for his friends and family.

Re: Moving objects around once they have been modified with the pocket function

As mentioned before, you cannot delete the basis of a pocket, because it actually belongs to it, it is not simply a construction help. [/quote] Thank you, grouping items helps a lot. Now when I "Make Compound" of all my parts so I can send I send it to the drawing work bench should I include the ba...

Re: Moving objects around once they have been modified with the pocket function

Hello, I also have a question about the pocket function. When I use the pocket function mainly to cope square tube. The square tube prior to using the pocket function still exists but is hidden from the work bench. typically I just delete it but I do a pop-up that informs me that other objects are d...

Re: Welder looking to be more efficient using FreeCAD

I want to shift gears here to something else, Ok, I've seen video on a combustion engine for a car, an the user was able to have all the parts moving and functioning as intended. Now I can see this could be handy in the future. I have a file that I have just made of a "butterfly" hinge, and I'm hopi...
