Re: [ Architecture Masterpiece ] Church of The Light

More fun now with Renderer :)

Maybe some Structural Engineer, MEP Engineer, Landscape Architect, Interior Designer ? :D

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to BIM modelling (BIM Assembly?)

I was thinking: if we can make and App::Link (exactly a Sublink) of every sketch segment -and YES we can! - we can also build one wall segment for every sketch segment. Yes ! Even w/o complication of App:Link, just with @abdullah's Part Geometry Extension... long story. BTW, may have a look at this...

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to BIM modelling (BIM Assembly?)

p.s.

I am lazy to do the mathematics so for each Wall Segment created with the Sketch, I just Fuse them

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to BIM modelling (BIM Assembly?)

Today update. I'm having much fun with this little toy! It looks bad, but the signal system works quite good! The ends are updated both if the wall is moved and also if the other name field is changed! And no additional objects at all :) We have also 2 switches to prevent wall end from joining... m...

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to BIM modelling (BIM Assembly?)

Other different approach directly from a commercial BIM parametric software. Most other software woork similary. One is worth the other The important things are: - the walls never are merged together, they always reman an indipendet walls and you can modify it - when a wall graft other wall, there ...

Re: How can i change a wall and move the window too

In fact you can do it, with risk of running into toponaming issue, use Sketch's Link to External Geometry to do it. A 'master' Sketch with all the edges to form the Structure as Slab. A 'dependent' Sketch which only link the 4 edges of the 'master' sketch to form the 4 walls. I have a similar but 'p...

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to BIM modelling (BIM Assembly?)

I use PropertyString in ArchStair but it is difficult to see the relationship - Dependency Graph do not show the relationship any longer. In fact, I was also thinking how to 'link' rooms (ArchSpace). I have a glance at Graph concept but seems needs long time to understand and not sure what can descr...

Re: ArchSketch + ArchWall ( Multiple Width / Individual Align ) = Building Layout Object

My idea is this. I think that the issuse born because we need to have a correct intersection betwen tha walls without line among it. Right? Actual solution is to merge the wall (indeed the baselines) and the interscetion lines disappare. And we'll have some different walls in the same subgroup of t...

Re: ArchSketch + ArchWall ( Multiple Width / Individual Align ) = Building Layout Object

✗ The commands "Edit Wall Segment Width" and "Edit Wall Segment Align" work with Sketch object but not with ArchSketch. The reason appears to be these lines: if Draft.getType(self.targetArchSketch) == 'Sketch': in ArchSketchObject.py, lines 225 , 239 , 322 and 341 It works if i change them to: if D...
