Re: New stair tool

Welcome and good to have more people contributing :D I started learning python some time ago (still beginner) and tweaked Arch Stairs first. Recently there are quite several effort to build tools on Stairs but have no time to understand and incorporate. See if any would inspire you further : Steel S...

Re: [Sketcher Geometry] - Export/Import between FreeCAD and Blender

I assumed the user wouldn't want to tweak an exported sketch in blender as it would already have final dimensions but i guess being able to go back and forth would be helpful. If things can go back and forth that's ideal, but if thing is as @realhundar point out - ' FreeCAD sketch solver is a dedic...

Re: [LinkExtensionPython] - LinkArray of Blocks in ArchWall ?

Realthunder's fix is amazing! Let's propagate that through Arch & Draft. As for using linkarrays for blocks, the problem is that many blocks need to be cut at different sizes/angles. So I guess that if we were using linkarrayed objects with the current algo, the overall gain would be small. Als...

Re: [LinkExtensionPython] - LinkArray of Blocks in ArchWall ?

Ping See if you have a gap to have a look at below patch by @Realthunder, see all right to me with basic python knowledge, I have a simple test and the file reduction seems significant (see above post and model file attached) :D As for the storage issue, there is a simple fix. I've notice this prob...

Re: Connect two face and fill empty espace

You are welcome. In fact, I want to make a remark in last post but it turn out disappeared - ' it works in most cases but sometime it does not work as ideal". That's some cases I want to attack when there is more time later, or someone more capable can resolve it ? Good luck :) p.s. The test yo...

Re: FreeCAD Hack (hitting the bullseye)

Curious how similar model may be done by Part :) Select the Sketch, Click Extrude in Part In Face Maker Class, it is by default Part::FaceMakeBullseye, and an alternate solid and void model is created Select the Sketch, Click Extrude in Part again In Face Maker Class, make it Part::FaceMakeSimple, a...

Re: Connect two face and fill empty espace

I mean you can check the algorithm in ArchWall particularly the DraftGeomUtils.offsetWire. In fact, just make a sketch of your 'beam' layout and click ArchWall, just adjust the Height and Width to imitate the beam layout. Test_ ArchWall_ as Beam.FCStd Screenshot from 2021-10-18 22-51-33.png Screensh...
