Re: Parametric Solid built from Surfaces ?

Even if surface modeling is not indicated for this particular project it's still good to explore the options and have them in your bag of tricks should the need arise. Indeed ! Thanks for the tip and good to learn more tools ! In fact, sometime Loft behaves different when the base is an Edge or a W...

Re: Parametric Solid built from Surfaces ?

You're asking for a single solid, is there a special requirement to build it as an assembly of individual surfaces? Sketch and constrain top and bottom profiles of the wall as edge profiles and loft the closed profiles together as ruled surfaces in Part WB. The loft is associative with the sketches...

Thanks! Needs to explore more workbench now :)

Re: New stair tool

Welcome and good to have more people contributing :D I started learning python some time ago (still beginner) and tweaked Arch Stairs first. Recently there are quite several effort to build tools on Stairs but have no time to understand and incorporate. See if any would inspire you further : Steel S...

Re: [Sketcher Geometry] - Export/Import between FreeCAD and Blender

I assumed the user wouldn't want to tweak an exported sketch in blender as it would already have final dimensions but i guess being able to go back and forth would be helpful. If things can go back and forth that's ideal, but if thing is as @realhundar point out - ' FreeCAD sketch solver is a dedic...

Re: [LinkExtensionPython] - LinkArray of Blocks in ArchWall ?

Realthunder's fix is amazing! Let's propagate that through Arch & Draft. As for using linkarrays for blocks, the problem is that many blocks need to be cut at different sizes/angles. So I guess that if we were using linkarrayed objects with the current algo, the overall gain would be small. Als...
