While creating stirrups, if we set offset of tie to zero, then the bottom stirrup will go out of column as in below image:

<snip>

Please check if above solution is right and give your suggestions.
Nice! Please create an MR to https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD for review.

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

Limitations: - It doesn't store values like HookOrientation, HookExtendAlong etc. - Once Apply button is clicked, user can't modify created rebars through same dialog box. Possible Solution: - Create Object in Tree View of FreeCAD, where user will double click on object to edit created Reinforcemen...

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

I have created UI and made changes as suggested by @hardeeprai above. The .ui file of Qt Designer can be found in attachment. And preview of UI: ColumnReinforcement.png Instead of using QLineEdit fields, you should use our FreeCAD Gui::InputField, which supports units, expressions, etc. These shoul...

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

With respect to image attached, for dia 20, extension should be 20*bentFactor = 20*4 = 80, but you showed 80.24 and 80.21. Like wise 39.86 and 40.38 should be 40, if whatever you wrote is correct. How you put dimensions on image? Exact or these are estimated? I think he used "Measure distance" tool...

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

Not to criticize too much the style of your code, but can you please try to follow the Python guidelines, PEP8, and so on? The parentheses should be used to break the lines, but you should keep the arguments aligned with the parentheses, not alone in their own line like in C. # NO def something( ar...

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

I added following code snippet to move stirrups with structure in functions makeStirrup() and editStirrup(): # Rotate Stirrups with Structure structureAngle=math.degrees(structure.Placement.Rotation.Angle) stirrupAngle=structureAngle-90 rebar.Placement.Rotation.__setattr__('Angle',math.radians(stir...

Re: Automate Reinforcement GSoC proposal

Give your suggestions and reviews. Very good! This is exactly same you will do during GSoC. Screenshot 2019-04-09 at 7.15.16 PM.png Reviews on your code: You used some constants for creating rebars which is not good. For eg. "Face2" for creating straight rebars and "Face6" for creating stirrups. Al...
