Re: install today freecad 0.17 updated in debian based is a pain in the ass

I want to tell if anyone is using deepin linux distribution, that I had tried and works the freecad daily PPA.(even is a debian based not ubuntu based distro)
So no need to compile a binary or appimage usage that in my case was buggy.

Have a nice freecad time everyone!

Re: (freecad-daily:7665): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL

Hi triplus,
To narrow the problem furthermore, I tried a PPA It worked!
Even being a debian based distro, I installed the freecad-daily and freecad-daily-doc, and problem is not present, text is display is correct.
So the problem only appears when using the appimage.

sgrogan thanks about the info. I has downloaded and tested the appimage FreeCAD-0.17.git201708042006.glibc2.17-x86_64.AppImage. [SOLVED] install today freecad 0.17 updated in debian based is a pain in the ass

I have an old appimage of 0.17 version that works. But when trying to get an updated 0.17 one: Compiling it manually or using an script, or using docker + subuser or looking for flatpack... all ends in error /stop, libraries , dependencies. Terminal I write this post because after 2 nights trying it...

Re: compile FreeCAD 0.17 with occt 7.1.0 and netgen, script for Xenial and Jessie

Hi everyone , i am trying the debian Jessie script since yesterday from deepin linux(based on debian). Script has stopped because of libraries and programs dependencies that I think I had already installed and fixed. Now I have this, and don't know how to progress: [ 5%] Building CXX object src/Base...
