Re: Conference

Not sure how many people would come to a freecad developer (?) conference and how large you want to scale it, but maybe it makes sense to use the leverage of a bigger conference and held a FC conference as a sub-track. For example, here in Austria we have the Linux days and Linux weeks (https://www....

Re: compile with netgen for FEM meshing

Still not giving up :D tried with netgen 6.2.1810 and internal smesh. Re: Finding a solution for the 'version.h' issue

"I am release (n-1)+1". That works as long as no one ever builds his own version. And with git, you never know how far off he went, as there is no linear timeline. And you do not solve the issue of creating the file at build time - the git information might be removed, i.e.when a tarball of the rep...

Ah yes I see. Looks like the version I compiled is quite older than that.

Re: pylint as part of build ?

What you could also do: there are tools for github which check the code style and can disable merging if the code style does not match.
That is the easiest solution to force everyone to write in the same style.

There seems to be also tools which will create new commits with linted code.

Re: compile with netgen for FEM meshing

So I found this log here: https://dev.azure.com/conda-forge/feedstock-builds/_build/results?buildId=44340 The interesseting part is, that there are no deprecation warnings. Is it because of C++17 standard is used? I just try out of curiosity to build everything with C++17... edit: no, that makes it ...

Re: Finding a solution for the 'version.h' issue

EDIT2 : even trickier, a pre-push hook that will append to the last commit message the hash (hopefully commit messages aren't took into account into the hash) I would never rewrite anything server side - I'm not sure if this is even possible. AFAIK pre-push is client side. ;) ah sorry ;) okay but t...
