Re: [solved] Number of Edges and Faces in Mesh

I first looked for a tooltip - maybe that would solve the issue already?
If it would say something like "faces on the surface" it would help a lot I guess.

Re: Number of Edges and Faces in Mesh

Okay, that makes sense. I thought that these figures were related to the volume mesh, which confused me.
Thanks for the clarification!

[solved] Number of Edges and Faces in Mesh

I'm writing some other tool that needs to handle tetrahedral meshes, and I generated some test files in FreeCAD. But I do not understand the mesh metrics given in the data tab: femmesh.PNG The number of volumes and nodes is the same as in the mesh. However, the number of edges and faces does not mat...

Re: Add Dimension from macro / Access Linegroups

Thanks for your interest in the macro! Unfortunately, my development efforts regarding FreeCAD are only done in my free time and right now I do not use FreeCAD at all. There are other things which require my attention (fortunately not correlated with the 2020 happenings...) The FreeCAD macro process...

Re: Threads in TechDraw

I tried the macro on a simple cube with tapped hole and as far as I understood the functionality, according to current state it creates the correct thread representation according to ISO 6410-1 in TD for the top view . I think this is a very huge and considerable progress in solving the thread repr...

I started with a macro: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... ds#p397091

however the hard part is still to link the information from PD into TD...

Re: [Gelöst] - Fragen zu Urheberrecht, User Show Case , kommerzielle Vorlagen

Re: Tangential dimensioning

Any plans to implement into the main branch? This question comes up every now and then... ping I guess that is a more general question how to deal with the shear amount of macros. Unfortunately, the macro system in FreeCAD is not that advanced to add buttons into workbenches automatically, and writ...

Re: SVG-Import Crash

Das "libCoin-Problem" aus der FAQ sollte nicht das Problem sein: > ldd /usr/lib64/FreeCAD/bin/FreeCAD | grep -i coin libCoin.so.60 => /usr/lib64/libCoin.so.60 (0x00007f13017e9000) > ldd /usr/lib64/libSoQt.so.20 | grep -i coin libCoin.so.60 => /usr/lib64/libCoin.so.60 (0x00007f33fbb8c000) Doch schau...
