Re: Interlocking modules
What is currently (FC 0.20) the best method to add (ideally sketcher based) cut-out features on parts generated with this workbench? For example, I created a box with the workbench and then I need some holes on the pieces. I'm used to PartDesign and the sketcher, but for those Parts, it is not easy ...

Re: [solved] Align ShapeString on a Circle
For other consideration about angles they are not weird, you have to see how macro apply angles yaw-pitch-roll have a precedence ZYX so they are applied with an order. I'm aware that rotation in general are "problematic" as so many definitions exists, with all their specialities and so on...

Re: Align ShapeString on a Circle
In this case, yes, the x and y. I was too lazy to write the expression to get the center of the bounding box. I see, thanks! There are of course small deviations in width of each character but overall they are small. Or is the bounding box the same for all single characters in the Strings...

Re: Align ShapeString on a Circle
Uhm okay, but there is then still an offset. The arrow base is at the correct position, but not the arrow tip and thus the center of the text itself: Screenshot 2023-02-09 150534.png Is there another thing I have to set? Simply change the Placement property of the [Strings]. That looks perfect, but...

Re: Align ShapeString on a Circle
There were around some example as clock faces, probably searching the forum for clock and face will give some results. Thanks! There seems to be also this macro: https://wiki.freecad.org/Macro_FCCircularText I'll try that as well. Lattice2 has the issue, that the text is still not aligned at the ce...

Re: Algin ShapeString on a Circle
Thanks! Lattice2 can indeed do that. The trick is to use Orient Mode = Vortex.

[solved] Align ShapeString on a Circle
I want to create a circular scale, where each scale tick has a number above it. I sketched the principle in Inkscape: Screenshot 2023-02-09 134938.png Each number should be centered above the tick mark and the lower part of the number should be a defined distance away from the tick mark. The part sh...

Re: [solved] Uniaxial Stress in cylinder using TRANSFORM
It was just that I got an unexpected result first and then blamed the input deck But with the MWE, it is obvious that it works as expected.
Thanks again for the explanation!
