Re: Assembly 4 workbench

Dear Zolko, maybe there is the answer in the main thread but I didn't find it. I'm a big fan of the performances the asm4 is able to reach, by the way I prefer the asm2+ workflow as it is the same as solidworks even if it become slow quite soon as the complexity of the asm arises. The main cons I fo...

Re: A2plus - constraint with point number offset

Hi,

I confirm Your behavior, in Windows it works with comma, in Ubuntu it doesn't work, it seems something related to python and locale.
The workaround is typing a number without decimals and then adjust it afterwards in the property pane (with comma).

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi,

lock rotation has never been implemented, it's an old property used in previous assembly2.
You can try constraining objs to an external sketch, it is a very powerful feature of a2plus

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi Klaus,

I successfully tried the sketch feature....wowowowowow!!!! amazing!
this make a lot easier the pattern placement.

I got the sketch item reported in the partlist, would it possible hide it from the list?

thanks again

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi Turro, there should be no changes in master branch which have slowed down the imports. Do you register that importing got slower or are you importing bigger shapes bigger than before ? > Multiprocessing/Multithreading: May be better, i have to check how good this works with FC. > C-code: Sure fa...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi @Kbwbe!

I'm facing a quite slower importing of complex shapes, I wonder if multithreading the conversion from shape to shell could speed up that process or, as alternative approach, the rewriting of those functions as C code.
What do You think about?

Re: Adventure of fixing sketcher solver for large sketches

Hi All, In some cad such as rhino the user must select between 2 obj sizes during creation of a file, one for small objs with high precision and the othet one for large objs with high max dimensions available. If I remember right the switch is at 3mt. So the number of digits is the same , it changes...
