Re: shadows in the freecad viewport

2) Can the ground have a third option other than on and off? Grid. That is a grid instead of the solid ground but that catches shadows. Transparent ground not just a overlayed grid on the solid ground. I can only imagine how cool that would look. How about this, texture with bump map. I spent great...

Re: New overlay mode (Now ready for testing)

He will most likely submit his changes in due time, don't worry. Ha makes these releases to receive feedback and improve the code before actually submitting. Even if he did submitted it right now its unlikely to get merged in this version as it is in theory close to release, just look at other PRs ...

Re: [Discussion] Drafting 2d annotations for architecture

I think we shall aim at being able to handle 10K+ objects per session. @realthunder, @yorik, is this thing onekk is describing something that make sense to you? Like I said before, I think it is better to handle lines and stuff inside a single a single Draft object, so you can use more efficient ob...

Re: Hidden line draw style

In PTC Creo Wildfire 5.0 you select hidden faces as shown in the video. https://peertube.mastodon.host/videos/watch/8d6baa7a-dcd4-41aa-a892-7e70687b86d4 I have just implemented this. Use SHIFT + CTRL + MouseWheel to select the face in the middle. I will make a release later today. Stay tuned. hidde...

Re: [Discussion] A different approach to Arch modelling (Arch Assembly?)

Can I access the temporary linked App::Part from the Binder object (the mutated one)? This Part should have the correct WallVoid object... Just publish the variable as CopyOnChange to the top level Part, and binder will then copy this property to itself. You can then access the variant content of t...

Can you add a widget like this when dock collapsed? It would be nice to see which dock is at which side.
That's nice. I'll see if I can add it. It might have some conflict with the way I implement it, because you can have non-overlay and overlay dock at the same side.

Re: New overlay mode (Now ready for testing)

of course, nice tool you have implement in your fork... butt tell me why do you implement it in your fork and not for now in the right FreeCAD fork? FreeCAD 0.19 is pending for release, so it is not the right time for new features. I'll submit this (and many more) for the next version. It is going ...

Re: New overlay mode (Now ready for testing)

OK....I realized I made a terrible job at explaining myself about the navigation cube. I wasn't aware about the possibility of just dragging the navcube away with the mouse. The cube should move out of the way. Not the panel. Please bring back the old behavior. I'll just drag the cube out of the wa...

Re: Dynamically Hideable Property Status

Unfortunately I continue to fail to fully understand the issue. I think that there must be something that it is obvious for you and that you are not saying that is not obvious for me. Just compare your picture with my screencast above, you'll see the obvious difference. Mine is running from my fork...
