Re: Assembly3 preview

I don't know if the piston top part constraint, which needs to be vertical, has been applied properly. :?: :| The piston assembly is basically a 2D constraining problem, so you should be thinking of using 2D constraints. Pay attention to the constraint icon, those with dashed frame indicates that i...

Re: Assembly3 preview

I would like to report an error message obtained with the version Fixed. I'll make a release soon ExShapeBinder2.FCStd the 2nd flange reverses in the assembly. This allowed me to show how we get out of the problem, but in a tutorial, is it desirable to have this kind of worry? This is hard problem....

Re: Compiling FreeCAD-Linkstage3 branch on Raspberry PI4

Edit: OK, it was late yesterday, now I remember I forgot to enable auto-solving... So, that should work, I will test again this evening (I'm on smartphone now). I will report here. Just in case, make sure py_slvs is inside 'asm3/freecad/asm3' directory, and don't forget to create an empty __...

Re: Compiling FreeCAD-Linkstage3 branch on Raspberry PI4

Does the instructions to build asm3WB are up to date? https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD_assembly3/wiki/Build-Instruction It's outdated. I'll update it soon. You should now checkout the asm3 repo in .FreeCAD/Mod directory instead. The solver repo has been moved out of asm3 repo. You can clone t...

Re: Sketcher Development - Integration of Extensions

Hi, abdullah, nice write up. I only got to know your post today because of other people's referring. Next time, please do not hesitate to ping me. I've known your introduction of the geometry extension when I am doing merge on my side. But you seem to have stopped developing for some reason, so I di...

Re: Sheet Metal Workbench

Ok I'm back, thanks to you @realthunder I'm now able to open the file again by using your Linkstage3 branch on my cute n tiny RPI4 :D Here is the sheetmetal square-round part with full parametrical workflow, but which fail to unfold with Sheetmetal WB. Maybe my workflow is too much fancy?... I spen...

Re: Assembly3 preview

I have an issue though, and maybe it's me, or maybe it's something that needs to be added. In my workflow, I often have to put cylinders through holes (either shafts or screws) and the first part is easy, add an AxialAlignment restriction. This removes 4 degrees of freedom (X, Y, Pitch and Yaw) . H...

Re: Assembly3 preview

I'm currently working on an assembly where I've mainly used PlaneCoicident to constrain the assembly. Now I've discovered, that all constraints which I'd used changed to Locked ! Wow, that is one bizarre problem you are having there, and serious, too! I can't image how this could have happened! Any...
